I live to hunt. For me hunting isnt just a weekend hobby or vacation time, it is a way of life. Hunting is the best way to collect the best tasting, healthiest meat out there, but there is a lot more to it than that. Hunting gives us an escape from the routine of everyday life. An escape from our jobs, from our chores, and an escape from the never ending conflicts we all see on TV and Social Media. More importantly, hunting is a challenge. Not just any challenge, but mankinds oldest and most natural challenge.

The world of hunting, especially deer hunting, is full of great information on tips, techniques and strategies. Don't get me wrong, there is some really helpful stuff out there, but so much of it is focused on a different region than I live. Reading about how to find pinch points in agriculture country just doesn't really help me in my pursuit of whitetails in the hardwood ridges of central Alabama.

I created this website to publish the thoughts and ideas of my friends and myself, and to share the success and failures we have in our Southeastern hunting adventures. Far too often in the outdoor world failure is hidden, we see the stories of successful hunts, but we never seem to hear about the botched shots, the blown stalks, or all those trips home empty handed.

Hunting Alabama's public lands has always been a challenge, and it always will be. But I will always love it, and I have learned so much from it. I hope to share what I have learned, and what I will learn, with you, the true outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen of America.
